Terms of Service.

1. Agreement

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) apply when you access this website, install The Squatch Bot, invoke its commands, configure a monitor, or otherwise use the service. “Squatch,” “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to The Squatch Bot and its operator. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

If you use Squatch for an organization or Discord server, you confirm that you have authority to accept these Terms for it. Our Privacy Policy explains the service’s data practices and is part of these Terms.

2. Eligibility

You must have a valid Discord account, meet Discord’s minimum age for your country, and be legally able to agree to these Terms. If local law requires permission from a parent or guardian, you must have it.

Discord server tools are intended for members with Discord’s Manage Server permission. You must not bypass or misrepresent that authority.

3. What Squatch provides

Squatch queries supported public game-server interfaces and can publish a Discord status message, refresh it approximately every minute, provide customization controls, and return private analytics derived from observed checks. Supported platforms, metrics, and player details vary because each game protocol exposes different information.

Squatch is currently offered without charge. A status, player list, lookup, or analytics result can be delayed, incomplete, cached, unavailable, or inaccurate because it depends on Discord, DNS, game servers, platform directories, network conditions, and data supplied by others. “Online” is an observation, not a service-level guarantee.

4. Your authority and responsibilities

By submitting a game-server address or identity lookup, you confirm that you are authorized to make the request and that the target is a public endpoint or one you have permission to query. You are responsible for:

• Having permission to add Squatch and publish status information in the selected Discord channel.
• Providing accurate endpoints and using reasonable query volume.
• Choosing whether publicly returned player names, connection details, maps, and other fields are appropriate for your community.
• Reviewing channel permissions because anyone who can view the channel may see the published status.
• Removing a monitor when you no longer have authority over the Discord or game server.

5. Acceptable use

You may not use or attempt to use Squatch to:

• Break any law, Discord rule, game-platform rule, or third-party right.
• Scan private networks, probe systems without authorization, evade access controls, or discover credentials.
• Harass people, expose private information, impersonate others, or facilitate harmful activity.
• Overload, disrupt, reverse engineer, scrape, automate abusive requests against, or interfere with Squatch, Discord, or an upstream service.
• Submit malware, deceptive links, unlawful content, credentials, tokens, passwords, or secrets.
• Resell the service or use Discord API data for advertising, data brokerage, surveillance, or user profiling.

We may investigate suspected abuse and limit or block use to protect users, upstream services, or Squatch.

6. Server data, labels, and links

You retain any rights you have in labels, status text, and links you submit. You give us a limited permission to store, format, and display that content only as needed to operate the monitor. You confirm that you have the rights to submit it and that it is accurate, lawful, and safe.

Game-server names, player information, maps, profile information, and other upstream data belong to their respective owners. Squatch normalizes and presents that data but does not claim ownership of it. We may remove or refuse content or links that create risk or violate these Terms.

7. Discord and third-party services

Squatch depends on services we do not control, including Discord, Valve/Steam, Mojang, FiveM/Cfx.re, ARK directories, DNS, and hosting infrastructure. Your use of those services remains subject to their own terms and policies.

These Terms are solely between you and Squatch’s operator. They do not replace or modify the Discord Terms of Service or Community Guidelines. If these Terms conflict with Discord’s applicable rules, Discord’s rules control your use of Discord.

8. Changes, suspension, and ending use

We may add, change, limit, or discontinue features, platform support, rate limits, or the service itself. We may suspend or terminate access for abuse, security risk, legal requirements, upstream policy changes, or conduct that threatens the service.

You can stop using Squatch at any time. A Discord server manager should remove configured monitors through /server manage or delete their published status messages, then remove the bot. Data deletion and retention are described in the Privacy Policy.

9. Disclaimers and limits

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Squatch is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of uninterrupted availability, accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose, merchantability, or non-infringement. We do not guarantee that a game server is safe, authorized, reachable, or correctly reporting its state.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Squatch’s operator will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost data, revenue, profits, goodwill, or service availability arising from your use of or inability to use Squatch. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded or limits mandatory consumer rights.

You are responsible for losses arising from endpoints, content, or links you submit, your lack of authority to publish them, or your violation of these Terms, to the extent permitted by applicable law.

10. Contact and changes to these Terms

For support, legal notices, or abuse reports, use the support contact published on Squatch’s Discord application profile. Include enough detail to identify the relevant Discord server or monitor, but never include a password or bot token.

We may update these Terms to reflect service, legal, security, or policy changes. The effective date above will be updated. If a change materially affects your rights, we will provide notice where reasonably possible. Continued use after the new effective date means you accept the updated Terms.

If one provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue. A failure to enforce one provision is not a waiver. These Terms are the entire agreement about Squatch, except for rights and obligations that cannot be changed by contract.
